Fred and Shirley met in the Library of Union Theological Seminary in Richmond Virginia in 1957 and were married August 9, 1958 in Charlestown, West Virginia where he was serving as an associate pastor. They have 3 children, Ruth, Anne and Fred III, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grand children. They have lived all over the South and even Texas. They have served the Lord and helped hundreds come to Jesus. Their life is a testimony to following his will.

Fred and Shirley have always dreamed of visiting Scotland and Guthrie Castle but have never been able to go. The children of Fred and Shirley are hoping to raise funds in lieu of gifts to be able to surprise them. Mom and Dad love to explore on their own so we are planning a trip to spend: 2 days in London, 2 days in Edinburgh, 1 day in Forfar (home of Guthrie Castle, 2-3 days in the Highlands and return from Glasgow. They will rent a car and we will book nice Bed and Breakfast hotels so they can meet the locals and take their time exploring
